Friends from work and myself, 22 in total rented a house in North Conway, NH for the long weekend for skiing. Conditions yesterday were wonderful at Bretton Woods. I tried to us longer skis for the first time and on the first run I wiped out 4 times! Then I switched back to shorter skis and was great for the rest of the day. There's a hot tub at the house and that was perfect for aprés ski. Here's a photo from the lift.

So it's 2009 now, or at least it has been for the past two weeks. However, I am just returning to work after a longe extended holiday break. Though I am not retrning to the same position that I had before I left. My previous supervsiory and mangement duties have shifted to a coworker of mine, in addition to her existing responibilities. Meanwhile I get a new job working for the director on developing his initiatives from idea to reality. Very exciting stuff, working on process development, technical integration and more high end conceptual development and modeling.

With this new year, I have made several new year's resolutions. One of which is to post to this journal / blog / whatever at least 3 times per week as well as update the design of it. I also resolved to lose weight, (I am currently using Gyminee), save money, and quit smoking (after I graduate)

Happy New Year to one and all!

I'm writing this post in Word 2007 to test its abilities to do Blog Posts. This is a new function in Word 2007 and Blogger is one of the services it supports. Very nice.

WOW!! My wife just accomplished one of the best driving feats ever. We needed to make the 10:00 PM ferry out of Bridgeport. We hit the junction of I-91 and I-95 in New Haven, Connecticut at 9:45 PM. The distance to Bridgeport was approximately 20 Miles. She drove extremely well in time to make the ferry, even with heavy traffic and a construction delay. WOW!!!
